Voice of the Week 1/2/11

MV:  Aselamulaikum my dear brothers.

Ready for this week’s Voice of the week? Lets go!

MV: It’s interesting to think that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to greet others during prayer, I guess this all changed for a good reason that only Allah (swt) knows.

Merits of the Helpers in Madinah (Ansaar) – 26th Muharram 1432 (1st January

Narrated ‘Abdullah (Radi-Allahu ‘anhu):

We used to greet the Prophet (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) while he used
to be in prayers, and he used to reply to our greetings. But when we came
back from Najashi (the King of Ethiopia) we greeted him (while he was
praying) and he did not reply to us. We said, “O Allah’s Apostle! We used
to greet you in the past and you used to reply to us.” He said, “Verily The
Mind is occupied and busy with more important matter during the prayer.”
(So one cannot return One’s greetings.)

MV: This should be a habit for everyone, whenever you get in the car, ride the bus to school, take the train to work, etc. Make sure you recite this dua in order to be safe in your journey, especially with the increase of car crashes these days, this should be a savior inshAllah.

When undertaking a journey

Subhanalla-thee sakh-khara-lana haatha wa-ma kun-na lahoo muqrineena wa inna ila Rabbina la-mun-qali-boon.
Translation: Glory be to Him (Allah) who has brought this (vehicle) under our control though we were unable to control it.  Sure, we are to return to our Lord.

MV: This guy is just plan awesome mashAllah! Ask forgiveness from Allah (swt) the right way inshAllah.
