*We are an almost Weekly Blog*
Here at The Muslim Voice, we try to provide you with a database of Islamic Information. We are currently in progress but we will continue to post on this blog prominently and will keep active, Inshallah.
~Alhumdollilah, its been over 5 years since the creation of the site. I created the site when I was only in my 8th grade of High School and it’s been running since. -5/3/13
I originally made a website which I wanted to use for a database sort of project. It would be like the Islamic google which sounded just as hard as it was trying. If any of you had ever visited my other site before this site then you must have still remembered my holiday themes (Eid, Eid 2 and Ramadan) in which I would change the template to the holidays style. At that time I did not know much about blogs or posting and website I used to create muslimpedia with a site called piczo, which in case if anyone does not know, is similar to myspace.com. Even through this was true, I made the site really imaginative and cool. I enjoyed the site a lot and I wanted to make it popular. One day in a party (no not wild, just my family and another family arriving in my cousins house and talking.) While I was working on my site there, I met Saad Ahmed there. He told me he owned a blog, chillyoislamyo.com and I was completely taken by surprise. I visited that site before I met him and for me that was saying something. So he looked at my site and told me he uses wordpress and most people that own “actual websites” use it as well. We were searching for many names for the site (took us a while) then he found themuslimvoice.wordpress.com. (Yes hes the one that found the original name) At first I was sort of confused, why could I not edit anything? Why could I not move anything around? What would happen to my old site? So after he left, I tried to forget about the whole thing (although I still remembered how he kindly tried to help me) So then after that I worked on my site again for about 6-7 mouths when I finally started thinking why does my site not look like a real site like Chillyoislamyo? And why aren’t I getting a lot of views. This and another thought that got me started on themuslimvoice, if I post topics about Islam, like articles and stuff, I would most likely get more views, so instead of completely forgetting Muslimpedia, I created the Muslim Voice the official blog for Muslimpedia, which would stay as a database but The Muslim Voice would be something that I would post news in. The name came to me as why would the name be The Muslim Voice? There had to be a reason or the content of the site would not match the site title or viceversa. So then after analyzing this political site I thought why should I just post articles when I could add an additional Muslim Voice to it? The Muslim Voice. -6/16/09
Thanks if you actually read all of that.
Here is the story of my encounter with Shaykh Yusuf Estes, and how he changed the life of The Muslim Voice!
I wanted to buy the domain “themuslimvoice.com” for a long time now and when I looked up the url it was already taken. So one day I decided to check who was could have taken the domain and I found out it was a brother “Yusuf Estes”. I told my friend who works with me on the site and he told me he was a famous Islamic revert (convert). So upon hearing that I thought, “Like that’s happening”. But after some time thinking, I tried giving it a shoot. So I emailed him and within a few days I actually got a email back in which he said, “we will talk on phone about it inshAllah” and he actually gave me his number!! I called him many times after that day but he did not pick up and when finally he picked up he said he was busy and that he would be coming to New York the following day!! (I live in New York). Unfortunately I was unable to come to his speeches at NY. Whenever I called, his friend would pick up and say he was unavailable. When finally his friend said hes coming back to California, upon reaching there, I called him and he finally responded and he found out that the site (themuslimvoice.com) was just parked by him, as was 3000+ sites he had just parked but was unable to pay off. He then talked to me in a very kind manner and he actually made his parked domain redirect to my site for free!! And after that I found out that, truly Brother Yusuf Estes is amazing Alhumdoillah! -5/17/10

When Saad first told me about themuslimvoice blog I was just sitting at home on my computer and when he sent me the link I thought it was just one of old boring websites like his other ones. Then one day I was bored and I went to the website and it wasn’t that good and I felt like I had to help him so I did. I started doing some posts and realized this could help people and give them more knowledge about Islam. So I started being more active and am using my free time to help this website. Also so far it has been his best website if only you guys new about his weird other ones. (Just joking, he worked hard on those as well.) Even though Saad has made some boring websites he’s changing this one so it can be the best and so far it has been. Working on this website is not only a benefit to you here but it will become even a greater benefit in the afterlife for you.
One more thing to add I am also Muslim by nature and in school by degree but i am the youngest in my family, an American citizen, and cooler and much smarter than Saad. (Just joking, I will be keeping my respect.)
